This book provides an excellent approach to learning English used at one of the private educational institutions in Makassar. The presented data are empirical and evaluated using the Grounded Theory analysis approach.
HOW METHODS SUCCESS IN ELT?
English subject is one of the subjects which students from elementary school study to the tertiary level. For many years, the lecture method was widely used in many schools. McIntosh (1996) observed that lecturing is frequently a one-way process unaccompanied by discussion, questioning, or immediate practice, making it a poor teaching method. Most schools in Indonesia employ some form of lecture teaching method to teach students.
However, the usefulness of other teaching methods is being widely examined today. Students have learned English for years, but the fact can be seen now is that we rarely find students in high school who can speak English well. Based on this reality, the parents try to find a solution for their children by giving additional lessons to improve their children’s English, considering that it is an international language they surely need in the future. It seems that parents don’t rely on school then, finding a course place for their children is one of the solutions
This book provides an excellent approach to learning English used at one of the private educational institutions in Makassar. The presented data are empirical and evaluated using the Grounded Theory analysis approach. There are five chapters in this book. Each chapter offers thought-provoking ideas. The first chapter provides an introduction that describes in detail how the profile of a course institution is the subject of study and why the institution was chosen as a research subject. The second chapter provides
standard English learning ideas that teachers commonly employ. The third chapter presents the author’s grounded theory analysis and its execution. Chapter four discusses the outcomes of the previous session’s study and chapter five finishes.

She is a lecturer at the Department of English Education at Megarezky University Makassar. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in English Education from Alauddin State Islamic University and a master’s degree in English Education from Makassar State University. She is currently in the process of completing his doctoral studies in English education at the Makassar State University postgraduate program. She is also active in writing research articles to be published. She is interested in Teaching Methods in Teaching English. He teaches several courses at universities related to teaching methods such as TEFL I, TEFL II, and Micro teaching.
